At-home beauty technology—especially devices delivering synchronized microcurrent and nanocurrent—faces a uniquely steep trust barrier among Asian consumers. Literal translations often leave users either intimidated by clinical jargon or skeptical about safety and efficacy.
The transcreation strategy for ZIIP stripped away dry engineering phrasing, adopting the warm, authoritative persona of a private celebrity aesthetician guiding the user in real time. Complex waveform combinations were re-architected into targeted, benefit-first treatment categories, creating a zero-friction onboarding flow that bridged Silicon Valley electrical engineering with Asian skincare ritual habits.
