Peace Arch Hospital Foundation 〡 Chinese 〡 A pandemic fundraising appeal that revives the hospital’s origin story: in the 1950s, neighbours lit porch lamps to fund its construction; in 2020, Chinese-speaking residents were asked to light them again for its front-line staff. Its CA$20,000 goal was surpassed fivefold, raising more than CA$100,000.
Peace Arch Hospital Foundation has been working with Lin for a period of about two years now. We retained her services for the purposes of deepening our engagement with the growing Mandarin-speaking community in White Rock/South Surrey.
Our working relationship began with basic translation services but the scope of work soon expanded to having her provide counsel on establishing and maintaining our social media presence on the WeChat platform.
